four-year-old dell computer
putting together
a poem manuscript
a message comes up
on my computer screen
“document has too many
grammatical and spelling
errors
for ms word to continue
spell-checking.”
that’s fine, i think
plodding on.
i’m glad the computer
still has its mind.
however,
after four years together
you’d think it
would’ve learned
something about poetry
unless it thinks
i’m not writing poetry
which is something else
completely different
happening between
the two of us
and now i worry
that it may be right.
