day TWO HUNDRED and SIXTY

(Rondeau with a Line by Anthony Scarmucci)

I’m not here to suck my own cock,
or yours either,
though the idea of pleasure
at will is appealing.
I’m not here,
often, when you think I am, stuck
in ideas or desires or the past.
For years I thought Johnny Thunders sang
I don’t need society to open up my fly for me,
but it was life.
I have no problem with my pants,
many with my life. Still, distracting
though it would be (who doesn’t need distraction?),
I’m not here to suck my own cock.
