set out to film
on the Madagascar coast
celluloid film in camera
patiently waiting
for the atmospheric phenomenon
witnessed by sailors
gazing past the misty haze
toward the arc of the horizon
for an auspicious glimmer
the last emerald flash
of a dying orange sun
