almost all americans know

that nothing good can come

from building a structure

based on the ravings of a madman

yet

the shit’s probably going to move forward

because buses of people aren’t travelling

to the border to shut this idiocy down

no one wants the tear gas

and the german shepherds,

their tasers,

rubber bullets,

their smoke bombs,

their plastic shields

see, most people don’t carry

that type of armor

around

but the government does

so

if we want some kind of change,

we better learn to suit up
