jesus shrugged
at the corner of 75th
and fort hamilton parkway
there is a statue of jesus christ
holding the two world trade center towers
in the palm of each hand
and all i can ever think
when i pass it is
did the sculptor mean to be glaringly ironic
or did he just have
one sick and off-the-wall
sense of humor?
