Drafting Pencils
Salesmen would use
our drafting pencils
and keep them -
as if they were
just pencils.
That is like using,
a machinists micrometer,
a welders mig welder,
a carpenters Skilsaw.
Tools of the trade.
Some day I’m gonna
break into his
gold embossed
leather briefcase
and steal his
vapid personality.
